How do you chose stationery for a female? Our guide will help you make the right selection.
We have broken down our options into a "Value" category and a "Splurge" category depending on your price range.
The Value Brands
Low minimums and quick turn around times paired with great pricing make these some of our go-to brands for custom stationery.
(All the value items here can be ordered online just like if you were in the store! Shipping is incurred whether you order online or order in store since these items are printed off-site. Of course, for our clients who are admittedly "not very tech savvy," we are always happy to assist you with ordering by phone or text via 601-982-0245 while our doors are closed during the Coronavirus Pandemic.)
Value Brand #1: A Classic Look from Embossed Graphics
For girls: Most females prefer a folded note, however a note or flat card is equally appropriate for a lady. For female graduates, the starting point for stationery is deciding if you have a preference between these different options:
1. Classic styles on white or ivory with raised ink printing
2. Classic style with "blind embossed" printing - ie name raised with no ink color
3. More colorful and whimsical styles with flat printing
And then of course you need to choose if you want folded or flat!
Details on each are below:
The samples below show what we call "blind embossing," a technique which features raising the image, monogram or text with no print color. We sell a TON of this style, and while some people feel it's a little mature for a grad, and looks more like something to use for a bride, we find it's classic and versatile for anyone. A senior could pair a colorful envelope lining with the note or card to punch up the color if desired!
Value Brand #2: Printswell
Below are just a few that we love!
The Splurge Brands
Let's say you really love writing and you want to splurge on something really special and beautiful. The options are limitless, but here are a few starting points to give you some price ideas.
(because of all the customizations available with these brands most orders are placed through an associate and not online - email or text us for assistance)
Splurge Brand #1: Haute Papier
Luxe letterpress cards + the biggest assortment of envelope liners ever = what we love about Haute Papier. The fact that you can place an order for just 25 at a reasonable price is another great selling feature. Haute Papier stationery starts at $125* for 25 notes with lined envelopes plus proof and shipping.
The biggest thing people want to know about Haute Papier is what the envelope liner choices are as that is where most people start with their decision.
Here are the
script fonts and here are the
block fonts and here are the
monograms and here are the
motifs available for your custom creation. There is a $10 proof fee for each proof requested and a perfect proof must be approved for production to begin.
Splurge Brand #2: Crane/William Arthur
There is nothing quite like the classics. Crane and William Arthur set the bar.
While prices vary broadly depending on your material selections, you can expect pricing to start at $200* for 50 folded notes with thermography printing and plain envelopes or $300* for engraved notes with plain envelopes and go upward from there with the addition of colors, liners, return address printing, specialty papers, and more. Quantities of 25 are available but because of manufacturing setup fees the price from 25 to 50 is not very different and most people order 50 to start with.
Splurge Brand #3: Arzberger
When you are ready to do something amazing and completely unique, Arzberger is where we are going to direct you. Edge treatments, bevels, two color registration monograms, envelope liners, and more leave no stationery dream unimaginable. These creations will be upward of the Crane pricing quoted above, but if you are making an investment in something you will truly treasure every time you use it - this is the place to start.
